Barry Gate Becomes Reality

Commodore John Barry Memorial Project at the United States Naval Academy

January 6, 2012

We have good news to share with each one of you.  Barry Gate became a reality this Friday, January 6th, 2012.

Barry Gate became a reality because of the kind and generous donations from people like you.  Without the many donations, Barry Gate and the future Barry Memorial will not be possible.

With the Barry Gate becoming a reality, Phase One of the Barry Project will be completed.  Phase Two is erecting the Barry Memorial and Plaza.  The AOH needs to raise 100% of the funds needed before any work can be done on the Memorial.  We need everyone’s help – from California to New York, from Florida to Montana – to make this a reality.

Already some of you receiving this e-mail have indicated you want to do a major fundraiser in their area of the country.  Attached is the fundraising brochure I shared with everyone at the National President’s dinner and with some state boards.  Feel free to copy and share it.

Friday, June 6, 2012, a major milestone will have been passed with the new Barry Gate at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.  Long live Commodore John Barry!
